The first men's downhill has been cancelled due to the current weather conditions!

The first of two men's downhill races planned for this weekend cannot take place due to the weather conditions. The heavy snowfall last night and this morning, as well as the strong wind, make a race impossible. The safety of all those involved is not guaranteed under these conditions.

The 3rd men's training session has to be cancelled due to the heavy snowfall!

The men's final training session planned for this Friday cannot take place due to the heavy snowfall overnight and this morning. The organisers want to concentrate all their efforts on creating optimum piste conditions for tomorrow, Saturday.

The men's 2nd training session has been cancelled due to the current weather conditions!

The second men's training session planned for the downhill races next weekend (11/12 November) cannot take place on Thursday due to poor visibility.

First men's training session in fantastic winter conditions, with enthusiastic athletes and satisfied organisers!

The Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening was launched today, Wednesday 8 November, with the first of three planned training sessions for the two World Cup downhill races next weekend (11/12 November). The athletes encountered perfect track conditions were very enthusiastic after the first run. Austria's Otmar Striedinger completed this first training run on the "Gran Becca" with the fastest time of 2:05:93, albeit after missing a gate. The organisers are satisfied with the first test run.

Delightful anticipation: The Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening is just around the corner in high winter conditions!

The excitement is building: Next Saturday, 11 November, the premiere of the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening will open in the best winter conditions with the first of four planned World Cup downhill runs. The local organising committee can announce impressive sums of prize money and the winners can even look forward to climbing the Matterhorn!

Green light for the women's World Cup downhill races too!

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation FIS has also given the local organising committee (LOC) the green light for the two women's World Cup downhill races on 18/19 November. A week ago at the snow inspection, the go-ahead was allready given for the men's World Cup downhill races on 11/12 November.
