Green light for the women's World Cup downhill races too!
cr: Cervino Ski Paradise
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation FIS has also given the local organising committee (LOC) the green light for the two women's World Cup downhill races on 18/19 November. A week ago at the snow inspection, the go-ahead was allready given for the men's World Cup downhill races on 11/12 November.
The recurring, regular snowfall over the last two weeks, the snow farming and the low temperatures have ensured that winter conditions prevail on the "Gran Becca". Preparations for the two weeks of racing are in full swing in all areas. One week before the first race, the "Gran Becca" presents itself in its winter dress.
Limited number of tickets and Sunrise Fan Zone
Tickets for the individual race days at the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening are available at www.speedopening.com. A good two thirds of the downhill course can be seen from both the finish stands and the "Cime Bianche Corner" in the finish area in "Laghi Cime Bianche", which is not the case at any other World Cup race.
Due to the limited spectator capacity in the finish area, the "Sunrise Fanzone" will be set up on Testa Grigia near the national border with a video wall, race commentary and catering facilities. Admission is free, but a cable car ticket is required.
