The 3rd men's training session has to be cancelled due to the heavy snowfall!

The men's final training session planned for this Friday cannot take place due to the heavy snowfall overnight and this morning. The organisers want to concentrate all their efforts on creating optimum piste conditions for tomorrow, Saturday.
Prior to this, the start for the planned Friday training has already been reduced to the women's start. As the first training session on Wednesday could be carried out in the best possible conditions and from the original start, nothing stands in the way of the two men's downhill runs at the weekend.
This evening at 6.30 pm, the public and atmospheric start number draw for tomorrow's downhill will take place at the Matterhorn Plaza in the village centre of Zermatt. In Cervinia, the start number draw from Zermatt can be followed on a video screen. The first downhill tomorrow Saturday is scheduled for 11.30 am.
Limited number of tickets and Sunrise Fanzone
Tickets for the individual race days at the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening are available at www.speedopening.com. A good two thirds of the downhill course can be seen from both the finish stands and the "Cime Bianche Corner" in the finish area in "Laghi Cime Bianche", which is not the case at any other World Cup race. The grandstands for Saturday's downhill are sold out. Tickets are still available for Sunday and the women's downhill on the following weekend of 18/19 November.
Due to the limited spectator capacity in the finish area, the "Sunrise Fanzone" will be set up on Testa Grigia near the national border with a video wall, race commentary and catering facilities. Admission is free, but a mountain railway ticket is required.
