The first athletes' comments on the "Gran Becca": Marco Odermatt & Co. are delighted
Today, the men completed their first training session for the weekend's races in perfect weather conditions. The athletes were in a correspondingly positive mood after the first test run in the finish area.
Marco Odermatt (SUI): "I can draw a very positive conclusion. The piste was very, very good. The jumps on the course are great. The start with the backdrop is beautiful and the steep slope after the traverse is very cool to ski. The snow is almost the best in this area. I'm looking forward to the races this weekend!"
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (NOR): "The piste is beautiful to ski. I still skied a little too round, but with this view and these weather conditions today, it's a dream. The fresh snow is still making the track soft, but when the surface gets harder, it could be a very exciting race."
Mattia Casse (ITA): "The slope still has to take shape, but they did a good job. Today was a great day and we are looking forward to the next ones. The feeling is good, there aren't so many corners and you can stay fairly closed in. However, there is also a good wall, so we will see in the next few days."
